Sanders Hosts Policy Roundtable With Public Safety Leaders Across Arkansas

March 10, 2022

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Sarah Huckabee Sanders sat down with public safety leaders, recovery and reentry experts, and law enforcement officials from across Arkansas yesterday to discuss ways to ensure a safer future for the state.

The group exchanged ideas on decreasing violent crime, combatting the drug epidemic, and equipping law enforcement with the resources they need to protect our communities.

“As governor, I will ensure Arkansas is a law-and-order state that is tough on crime because when our communities are safe, our people are empowered,” Sanders said. “Our goal will always be to prosecute those who deserve it and help those who want it. We will invest in public safety by reducing violent crime, combatting the drug epidemic, and improving officer recruitment and retention to create a safer Arkansas for our children.”

In this series of policy roundtables focused on empowering Arkansans, Sanders has held roundtables on education and tourism and outdoor recreation. She will host roundtables with leaders on economic development and workforce development, among other topics, in the coming weeks.

Since launching her campaign just over one year ago, Sanders has shattered the fundraising record for most money ever raised by a candidate for governor of Arkansas and was endorsed by Governor Asa Hutchinson, Arkansas’ entire congressional delegation, and 101 Arkansas state legislators.
